Add and Complete a Risk Profile

Risk profiles are used to evaluate the potential risk level of an event and if a risk assessment should be completed. The risk profile includes a questionnaire specific to the event's type that produces a risk profile score, indicating whether further assessment is advised. You are able to define the questions, score for each answer, and the overall ranking of scores and recommended actions in your Risk Profile Settings.  

To add a Risk Profile:

1. In the left navigation, go to Risk > Risk Profiles.
2. Click +Add. The Add Risk Profile modal opens.
3. Add the risk profile information:
   • Event: Search for and select the event. Risk Profiles must be associated with an event.
   • Owner: Select who owns the risk profile. This person is responsible for gathering the answers to the associated questions.
   • Confidentiality: Select who can see the risk profile:
     • Confidential: Those with the Risk Manager level of permissions
     • Public: All users will be able to view the risk profile.
   • Description: Add a description, notes, and so on as needed. 
4. Click Add. The risk profile details page opens.

The risk profile has been created, with questions associated with the event's event type added. 

Complete a Risk Profile

To complete the risk profile, go to Risk > Risk Profile and select the risk profile to open its details page. From here you can:

• Click Select Answer under a question to answer it. The Risk Profile Score will update as you work through the questionnaire.
• If additional analysis is needed, click Add questions at the top to add additional questions to the risk profile.
• Click Export to PDF to download a PDF that you can share, or click the three dot menu in the upper-right to share the risk profile via email.
• Update the status to Closed. In the upper-left corner, click the arrow by the status and select Closed.

If it is decided that a full risk assessment is needed, click Create Risk Assessment. The Add Risk Assessment modal opens. Add all information and click Add. For all the details about risk assessments, see Create and Complete Risk Assessments. By creating the risk assessment from the risk profile, the profile and assessment will be linked.
