Once you have identified the risks, issues, and opportunities facing your organization, it is time to take action to handle those risks, issues and opportunities. This is done using Risk Actions. Risk actions are the steps that need to be carried out in order to address the risk, issue or opportunity. They work in tandem with the strategy that you have chosen to deal with the uncertainty, and should be targeted towards pursuing that strategy.

Create a Risk Action
- Open the Add Risk Action drawer in one of these places:
- On the Risks & Issues page, click the three dot menu on a risk and select Add Risk action.
- On a risk, issue or opportunity details page, go to the Risk Actions tab and click + Add.
- On the Risk Actions page, click + Add.
- Add the action information:
- Title: A unique name for the risk.
- Risk: The Risk, Issue or Opportunity for which this Action applies. If you have opened the drawer from a details page, this field will be automatically filled.
- Type: The strategy you are pursuing in dealing with the risk, issue, or opportunity. It will be pre-filled to indicate the Strategy you have chosen on the risk, issue, or opportunity, but can be this can be updated as needed.
- Status: The status of the risk: Not Started, In Progress, Slipped, or Complete.
- Due Date: When the action should be completed by.
- Description: Add additional information about the action.
- Assign Owners: Add the person responsible for completing the action. They will be notified of any changes to it or the parent risk, issue, or opportunity.
- Assign Group(s):
- Click Save. The action is created.
Edit and Update Risk Actions
You can view your action on the Risk Actions page. You can also view it and other associated actions on the Actions tab of its risk, issue or opportunity. On both the page or the tab, click the Settings gear to update the information about the action that displays as well as other view options.
Click an action to open a modal where you can view all details. You are able to update all action information in the detail modal:
- Click any detail to edit it.
- To add a comment or update to the action, click the three dot menu in the lower left and select Add Comment. Once you've typed in your comment, click Save or Ctrl+Enter to save it.
- To update the status of the action, click the arrow by the current status and select the new one.
- You can also add the action to MyTrack for easy access. Click the three dot menu in the lower left and select Pin this item to MyTrack.
- To archive or delete an action, click the three dot menu in the lower left and select Archive or Delete. Deleted actions cannot be recovered.
Action owners will be notified of updates made to actions.
You can also bulk archive risk actions on the Risk Actions page:
- In the upper-left of the Risk Actions page, click Select. Boxes will appear to the left of each risk action.
- Select each risk action to be archived, or select the box in the header row to select all risk actions.
- In the upper-right, click Archive. A pop-up confirmation will display.
- Click Confirm.
To view archived risk actions:
- Go to the Risk Actions page and click Filters. The Filters drawer opens.
- Select Archived. You can also select additional filters.
- Click Apply. Only archived risk actions matching all filter conditions display.
