The Planning Calendar provides a visual, date-based view of your tasks within the Planning module. It displays all tasks you have permission to see, giving you a date-based view of scheduling and work.
To access the Calendar, click Planning in the left-hand sidebar and select Calendar.

Calendar Views
You can switch between three display modes using the Month View dropdown in the top-right corner of the calendar:
- Month View: Displays the full month, with tasks and projects shown on their scheduled dates. This is the default view.
- Week View: Narrows the display to a single week.
- List View: Shows items in a linear list format rather than a calendar grid, allowing you to see additional task details.
To change the view, click Month View in the top-right and select your preferred option from the dropdown.
Navigate the Calendar
- Use the left and right arrow buttons on either side of the month label to move backwards or forwards in time.
- Click Today to return to the current date.
Add Items
You can add new projects or tasks directly from the Calendar using the + Add button in the top-right corner.
Filter the Calendar
Filters allow you to narrow down which items are displayed on the calendar. Click Filters in the top-right to open the drawer.
Open vs. Archived
At the top of the Filters panel, toggle between Open and Archived to switch between active items and those that have been archived.
General Filters
General filters apply broadly across projects and tasks. These include options such as Owner, Department, RAG status, and more. Click a filter to expand it and see available options.
Task Filters
Further down the panel are filters that apply specifically to tasks, including Project, Priority, Has Attachments, and more.
Date Filters
The Date section allows you to filter items based on a time range. Available options include preset ranges such as Last 30 days, Last 7 days, and Today, as well as a Fixed Dates option that lets you specify a custom range.
Applying and Resetting Filters
- Click Apply to apply your selected filters to the calendar.
- Click Reset all filters to clear all active filters and return to the default view.
- Click Cancel to close the panel without making changes.
You can also use the Search Filters field at the top of the panel to find a specific filter by name.
Permissions
The Calendar only displays items you have permission to view. If you expect to see a task that is not appearing, check with your administrator to confirm your access level.
